Support for the Wesoła parish
Art performances, family competitions, attractions for the youngest plus a raffle – these were the highlights of the annual fair organised by the St. Albert Roman Catholic Parish in Warsaw. Giełda Praw Majątkowych “Vindexus” S.A was one of the partners of the event which took place on the 20th of June.
This year’s fair was special because it was held on the day of the Feast of Corpus Christi, in the year that marks the 40th anniversary of the first pilgrimage of Pope John Paul II to Poland, and commemorations of the patron of the Wesoła Zielona parish – Saint Albert Chmielowski (an almsgiver, patriot and uprising veteran). There were numerous attractions, including performances by the winners of the Poland’s Got Talent, a concert of Targówek’s Kapela Podwórkowa, the “Amusement Park for Children”, an auction of valuable items and a lot of competitions. Participants could also try home-made pea soup.
The fair offered education and integration opportunities. It was attended not only by the locals living in the Wesoła district of Warsaw but also by inhabitants of the neighbouring districts, children, teenagers and combatants, persons with disabilities and seniors.
- Interesting initiatives, especially ones that are important for local communities, just like this fair, can always count on our support – says Jan Kuchno, CEO of GPM “Vindexus” S.A.
In his letter addressed to our company, rev. Maciej Chibowski, parish priest of the Saint Albert Parish in Warsaw-Wesoła, thanked us for the organisational support, quoting the famous words: “If each drop of water were to say: “One drop does not make an ocean, there would be no ocean”.
