This news will certainly electrify all history lovers: there is a new website dedicated to your favourite discipline. Subjectively and with verve Www.ztekiprezesa.pl is a weblog run by Jan Kuchno - the CEO of GPM “Vindexus”.
-Those who know me are aware that if I didn’t feel the need to run a company, I would have become a historian and would have written a book on the history of our country, especially those events that are less-known or have been deliberately forgotten. History is without doubt my great passion. Hence the idea for the blog – says Jan Kuchno.
- I am inspired by the history of Poland and of the world, but also by the private history of my ancestors. Can you imagine that the oldest photograph in my family album is 130 years old? I will certainly often post about my favourite historical period, i.e. the Middle Ages. I find the rule of the House of Piast, which was the only Polish dynasty descended from the indigenous Polish tribes, extremely interesting and fascinating. It is also veiled in mystery because there aren’t that many written sources documenting that period - says GPM “Vindexus” CEO.
The name of the blog - www.ztekiprezesa.pl - is a reference to the famous “Teka Stańczyka” (or “Stańczyk''s Portfolio” in English), a series of political pamphlets published by Przegląd Polski in 1869.
The first post that was published on 1 September 2019 focuses on the 80th anniversary of the German Third Reich''s invasion on Poland. New texts will appear on the blog more or less once a month.
